I just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of my readers whose enthusiasm for my books has allowed me to reach the spectacular milestone of having sold 100,000 books since I put my first book up for sale in January 2011. This has been an amazing journey.
I bounce out of bed every day because I have the best job in the whole world. Thank you all for making it possible! I have every intention of filling ereaders and bookshelves with my stories for years to come 🙂
In celebration, I’m running a giveaway! If you are a US/Canadian reader, you can enter to win an autographed copy of one of my books. International readers can receive a free copy of one of my books in ebook form. To enter, either tweet about the giveaway or leave a comment about your favorite one of my books in the comments.
Also, there are so many really interesting characters among the Welsh princes and the Norman marcher lords. Would you be interested in writing about the period immediately prior to Owain? I know that the Wind from Hastings treats Gruffyd and his wife Eadgyth of Mercia (Aldgyth), but I don’t know of any other books set in 11th century Wales and Mercia.
Thanks again!
I think Wales is going to provide me with fodder for stories for many years 🙂 Thanks for commenting and I hope you enjoy the books!
I’m thrilled to have found your books at smashwords, with the period of the 10th and 11th century, and the region – Wales and Welsh marches – being among my favorites thanks to early Elizabeth Chadwick novels and Ellis Peters (Brother Cadfael), along with Sharon Kay Penman. I cried during the book Penman wrote about Llewellyn the Last and his doomed romance, so I’m hoping to discover that he found some happiness in your alternate history version.
I cried too. That’s why I had to fix it 🙂
Editing my 1rst post seems to have wiped it out. So forgive me if it comes through twice.
I have enjoyed reading all your books but the Pendragon series are my favourites. They combine places that I visited and loved during my years in Wales and the period that I read much about during my years of studying Welsh.
Was fortunate to have several tutors that really loved their national history and its characters and took us to visit key places while reading each book. So I could revisit them in my mind’s eye while reading the Pendragon series. The other books as well but not to the same extent.
Congratulations on topping the 100,000 book sales.
It’s nice to hear they’re your favorite. I love them, and The Last Pendragon was the first book I released, but they’ve had a harder time gaining traction. So glad to hear from you!
I love the After Climeri series. I have Children of Time on my list to read by the end of the year. I also really liked the Last Pendragon books. From the comments above, I’m going to really like Cold my Heart. Congratulations on 100,000. Keep writing.
Thanks for commenting! They’re all my babies, so I love them all 🙂
I like the After Cilmeri series 🙂 They are all my favorites!
I have enjoyed all of your books so far but I have loved the Time series the best!! I am reading Children in Time right now and I love it. Thanks for writing and please do not stop!! I love what you are writing.
I am so glad to hear that. Don’t worry … I have all sorts of plans 🙂
100,000 books is a real milestone. May it become a million in your lifetime!!! My favorite so far is Children of Time. I am enamored of Llewelyn, David, Meg, Lili and the entire family (I’ve joined the Great Welsh Challenge on the BBC and am attempting to learn to speak Welsh!) So, Noswaith Dda to all!
Good luck with the challenge! That’s great!
I’m so glad! Thanks for commenting.
My favorite of your books, has been Cold My Heart, though I’ve enjoyed all of the rest. I believe I have all of them. I like that the women in your books are strong an intelligent and adaptable.
Thank you! I really am going to have to finish that sequel to Cold My Heart soon.
Cold my heart! I LOVE King Arthur stories! Congrats on the 100,0001 Way to go!
Thank you!
Children of Time is my absolute favorite: time travel, exotic places, betrayal, mystery, and the spectacular ending (one we were all looking forward to, though)!
I’m so glad you thought so. It’s one of my favorites too.
Hi Sarah, I love all your books … they’re all my favorites. I’m in love with Time Travel, have been since I was a little girl. I’ve always wanted to go to different time periods and see how life was at that time in history. Now with your books I get to take a peek at how life was back then. I love ‘After Cilmeri’ series! Your books are a fabulous read and the detail to history WOW!!! Thank you!!! I wish you all the best!!! Can’t wait to see the books yet to come!!! 🙂
Thank you! I’m so glad you commented.
Our next holiday in Wales will be a castle-tour along the castles from the After Cilmeri series!!
That’s so awesome! I hope you have a great time.
So happy for you- and very well deserved. You know my favorite is Cold My Heart! Now get off the internet and go back to writing that sequel 😀
20,000 words in, Deb. It’s on the docket for 2013 🙂
